HMD Trucking is hiring for a dry van truck driving job in Wilmington and nearby areas. Our dry van division provides steady freight, consistent miles, and competitive pay that fairly rewards the work you do on the road. With modern equipment, ongoing support, and year-round job availability, we offer a professional driving environment built around stability and comfort.

65 CPM base pay on all miles, with drivers averaging about 2,500 miles per week and working with no-touch freight.
$2,500 sign-on bonus, competitive referral bonuses for every qualified driver you refer.

Approximately 90% of our fleet consists of Peterbilt 579 trucks, alongside Freightliner Cascadia and Volvo models.
Multiple dry van openings in Wilmington and surrounding regions, available throughout the year.
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 1 year of CDL-A OTR driving experience
No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years
No more than three moving violations or three preventable accidents on record
No excessive speeding citations (21 mph or more over the limit) in the last 3 years
Must be 23 years of age or older at the time of application
Benefits
65 CPM base pay, with up to 10 CPM in additional performance bonuses
Drivers average approximately 2,500 miles per week
Home time every two weeks to support a balanced work–life schedule

Clean DOT inspection bonus: $100
Sign-on bonus: $2,500

Extra stop pay: $50 for each additional stop
Empty miles compensated at the same CPM rate as loaded miles
Detention pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
Layover pay: $100 for each 24-hour period
Orientation pay: $150
