HMD Trucking is hiring for dry van truck driving jobs in Providence and nearby areas. Our dry van division offers steady freight, reliable miles, and competitive pay that reflects the effort you put in on the road. With modern equipment, consistent operational support, and year-round job availability, we deliver a professional driving experience focused on stability and comfort.

What Makes Driving with HMD Different:
Drivers receive a base rate of 65 CPM on every mile, averaging about 2,500 miles per week, with no-touch freight across all loads.
We offer generous referral bonuses for each qualified driver you refer.
Drivers can earn additional pay for clean DOT inspections and for successfully completing onboarding.
A supportive operations team and well-maintained equipment help keep drivers moving efficiently and on schedule.
About 90% of our fleet is the legendary Peterbilt 579. We also utilize Freightliner’s flagship Cascadia and Volvo trucks.
We have multiple dry van positions available in Providence and nearby areas, with opportunities open year-round.
Requirements
Valid CDL Class A license
At least 1 year of OTR experience with a CDL-A
No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years
No more than three moving violations or three preventable accidents
No record of excessive speeding (21+ mph over the limit) in the last 3 years
Applicants must be 23 years of age or older
Benefits
Base pay of 65 CPM, with up to 10 CPM in performance bonuses
Drivers average approximately 2,500 miles per week
Home time every two weeks to support a balanced work-life schedule

Clean DOT inspection bonus: $100
Driver referral bonus: $2,000
Additional stop pay: $50 per extra stop
Empty miles compensated at the same CPM as loaded miles
Detention pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
Layover pay: $100 for each 24-hour period
Orientation pay: $150
