HMD Trucking is hiring dry van truck driving jobs in Norfolk. Our dry van division offers steady freight, consistent miles, and competitive pay that reflects the work you put in on the road. With modern equipment, ongoing support, and year-round job availability, we deliver a professional driving environment focused on stability and comfort.
If you’re an experienced CDL-A driver seeking strong miles and consistent OTR opportunities, Norfolk dry van positions are currently available.

65 CPM on all miles, with drivers averaging approximately 2,500 miles per week and hauling no-touch freight.
High referral bonuses paid for every qualified driver you bring to the company.
Additional pay opportunities for passing clean DOT inspections and successfully completing onboarding.
A supportive operations team and well-maintained equipment designed to keep drivers moving efficiently.
Around 90% of the fleet is made up of Peterbilt 579 trucks, alongside Freightliner Cascadia and Volvo models.
Multiple dry van openings in Norfolk and surrounding regions, available throughout the year.
Requirements
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years
No more than three moving violations or three preventable accidents
No excessive speeding (21+ mph over the limit) within the past 3 years
Must be at least 23 years old at the time of application
Benefits
65 CPM base pay, with up to 10 CPM in additional performance bonuses
Average weekly mileage of approximately 2,500 miles
Home every two weeks to support a balanced work–life schedule

Paid Time Off (PTO) with a flexible policy for rest and recovery
$2,500 sign-on bonus
Clean DOT inspection bonus: $100
Driver referral bonus: $2,000
Extra stop pay: $50 per additional stop
Empty miles paid at the same CPM rate as loaded miles
Detention pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
Layover pay: $100 for each 24-hour period
Orientation pay: $150
